Bicyclists Killed By Truck In Michigan Hit-And-Run

Multiple bicyclists were killed or injured Tuesday after they were struck in a hit-and-run near Kalamazoo, Michigan, according to reports.

A pickup truck plowed into the group of cyclists in Cooper Township, killing or injuring at least eight people, officials told WZZM 13. Some of the victims were children, but it was unclear if they were among the fatalities. 

The unidentified driver fled the scene on foot, and was later apprehended by police, Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas told local stations, according to The Associated Press.

The names of the victims and driver have not been released.

Law enforcement did not immediately respond to The Huffington Post's requests for comment.
