Multiple police officers have reportedly been shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with CNN reporting that at least three officers are feared dead.
“There is still an active scene. They are investigating,” Kip Holden, the mayor-president of East Baton Rouge Parish, told CNN on Sunday morning. “Right now we are trying to get our arms around everything.”
A witness told WBRZ News that they saw a man, dressed in black and with his face covered, shooting near a car wash around 9 a.m.
Attempts to reach police for comment were not immediately successful.
