Autopsies Confirm Slain Georgia Teens Were Shot

mercredi 3 août 2016

Two teens found dead behind a suburban Atlanta grocery store were victims of a homicide, authorities said Wednesday.

Natalie Henderson, 17, of Roswell and Carter Davis, also 17, of Woodstock, “each died from a single gunshot wound of the head,” according to a press release issued by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

“The manner of death in both cases is homicide,” the press release continues.

The medical examiner’s office did not elaborate on their findings and inquiries were directed to the Roswell Police Department, which has yet to return multiple calls for comment from The Huffington Post.

No suspects have been named, but police reportedly executed a search warrant at a Roswell home Wednesday morning.

Roswell Police Department Detective Zachary Frommer told the Roswell Patch no one has been taken into custody as a result of the warrant and it was issued based on “information [that’s] part of the investigation.”

A neighbor, who asked not to be identified, told The North Fulton Neighbor she was “surprised and shocked” to see police searching a home in her “quiet neighborhood.”

The home owners have yet to be identified and Henderson and Davis’ connection to the residence remains unclear. Authorities have also yet to say what, if anything, has been removed from the home.

A delivery driver discovered the bodies of Henderson and Davis behind a Publix grocery store in Roswell early Monday morning. The shopping center is located approximately 25 miles from downtown Atlanta.

A police report indicates Henderson was Davis’ ex-girlfriend, according to the Roswell Patch.

Davis was to start his senior year at River Ridge High School on Monday, where he played football and lacrosse.

Henderson attended Roswell High School, where she was a member of the band and color guard.

A motive in the slayings remains unclear. However, Frommer did tell The North Fulton Neighbor on Wednesday “there is no indication of any drug involvement.”

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the Roswell Police Department at (770) 640-4100 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS.
